These earbuds help me to cancel out noise in school, coffee shops, and at home (really anywhere that I get work done and need to focus). Usually, I am unable to be productive and end up focusing on extraneous noises, such as chewing, yawning, laughing, etc., but with these, I am able to simply work in my own little bubble. I even wear them during my professors' lectures, so they do not impede my educational opportunities. The earbuds are a huge anxiety-reliever for me.

As frequent gigs and festivals goer, having good earplugs is a must for me. Too bad, I didn't know this before surviving acoustic trauma with high sound sensitivity and tinnitus as a result. I tried conventional silicone party plugs, but the attenuation sometimes wasn't enough and tinnitus got to the state, when I had to take a break from visiting loud places. This forced me to look for better protection, I was thinking about making custom plugs and then I randomly found your product and I have to say it was the best thing that could've happened to me. I use them on daily basis, using low attenuation walking down the noisy streets, using public transport, listening to music at home, and using high attenuation on the gigs and festivals. Since having them, I can enjoy parties much more without any consequences, tinnitus is almost non-existent and the same goes for high ear sensitivity. I recommend your product to everyone I know and to everyone with similar problems I had, it is a bargain for the price and real lifesaver. Thank you for an amazing product! 🙂

I found dBud earplugs on an ad through Facebook just in time. I have an ear condition that requires ear plugs. The earplugs I ordered worked beautifully. I recommend them for anybody that has any type of noise related issues that requires ear plugs. Not only do they work but they're only $59.95 instead of paying for custom ear plugs that are $250.00 so I was very happy about that as well. I got my hands on a pair of dBuds last month, and can only say that I'm amazed by the quality and simplicity of this product. I often work in environments where some sort of ear plugs are needed to cancel out the surrounding loud noises, and if I'm not feeling like listening to music, I'll just enjoy the silence with dBuds instead. Obviously these plugs have been helpful when I've gone to (so far two) music concerts/gigs with them – it's a fantastic feeling to be able to enjoy music without having your ears ring for the next 24 hours. Clever & simple – highly recommended!

I’ve been a kindergarten teacher for several years, and one of the most taxing parts of the job for me has always been the noise. At the same time it’s a job that’s 90% about communicating with kids, so a normal set of earbuds blocking everything is no option. Reading about the dBuds ability to turn down the volume and still be able to communicate therefore caught my attention, and so I ordered a pair. After trying them out for a few weeks time, I got to say they deliver what they promise. I sometimes struggle a little bit with mumbling adults (*in noisy environments) while wearing them, but hearing the kids are no problem. They are also very nicely built. I really like the neck strap and magnets, which make them practical to carry around your neck when not in use. They also come with a small rubber case which is simply genius! So if you need to be able to communicate while caught in noisy environments, the dBuds definitely might be your solution! For me they already have reserved an everyday spot in my pocket. Highly recommended 🙂

I love these so much. I got them months ago from the Kickstarter campaign. I wear them at roller derby often, as the whistles and noise can be a bit much and sometimes damaging. I also use them on public transportation and during times I need to concentrate on something with background noise, like studying. They fit well and are comfortable for long wear and are really easy to operate. 5/5 I always have them with me.

As a teacher who deal/play with kids a lot at school, I always hear them screaming here and there. It quite stressful for me to hear the noise. But when I receive dbud last week, I'm happy to say it really help me to filter the noise at my school. dbud is perfect for those who are teaching in primary school. I would give 5 out 5.

Having worked in Post Production sound for over 24 years and being exposed to loud audio on the various mix stages, it took its toll over time. I now have tinnitus, the ringing of the ears and so whenever I go anywhere that is a noisy environment, it makes the tinnitus worse. So I bought the dbuds and I use them and they have helped me so much! I used them every day. I have told other friends and veterans, who suffer from tinnitus about these as although Tinnitus cannot be cured, at least we can prevent it from getting worse.

These really work. I attend concerts using these instead of the normal soft earplugs and noticed a huge difference in my listening experience. I can hear the vocals and talk with my daughter comfortably. I work around mail processing equipment which is around 110 db and could never hear the communications radios. Now I can hear the radio, fellow coworkers, and the PA announcer without having to hear the noise. Thanks for creating this wonderful product.

Damn, these are so cheap, yet much better than a lot of options on the market. I use them for my event-technician job. Wich means building a stage, setting up lights and speakers, make sure everything work, do the event/concert, and take everything down again.. But while working, they are easy to take out, hangs lovely with the magnets. And are very useful as you are able to talk with the -15db, but you can quickly go to -30db when you are done talking.

Last year I was searching for earplugs that were going to work better than the foam "throw-away" sets you get everywhere, mostly for free. I am a musician and sound engineer and needed something that was going to reduce the volume of the sound but did not reduce some of the frequencies more than others. Usually the high frequencies get cut and everything is bass dominant. Then I read about dBud and decided to become a backer and support dBud financially and hope the company would come up with the goods they were promising. As a dBud backer, I then received my first set of dBuds after the manufacturing was finally completed. I proudly checked them out at home using the stereo and I was amazed at the sound quality and reduction of volume. I could hear everything, except it was just quieter. Then the big test, to see if my new dBuds would react the same at a concert. My wife and I had bought tickets to one of our legends, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters at the Sydney Opera House (Australia) earlier this year. The concert was amazing, the sound mixing was great, the volume was not blastingly load, which I was thankful for, however, the dBuds were fantastic. I could here everything, especially the vocals, which usually drop out with general use earplugs. The 15db - 30db slider was amazing. The 30db setting dropped the volume even further with no frequency drop out. As someone who works with sound, mixing bands and going out to see bands play live, the dBuds are the best thing I have invested in for the protection of my ears with the clarity of sound maintained. One more thing I noticed was, that conversations at a concert or a pub gig were easier. You still had to get close to talk to each other, but didn't have to shout or scream just to hear one another. dBuds look great, fit great, they are comfortable, they don't stick out or make you look like a goon, and best of all, they do what they say they will do. Protect your ears and maintain quality of sound. Fantastic, I love'm.

Okay. I am a drummer and a frequent festival go’er, and these are really the best ear buds out there. The easy flick between -15 and -30 dB is so simple and useful. I use these for studying, walking around Copenhagen, playing music and when i just need to focus. Right now i am at the biggest festival I Northern Europe and enjoying being able to hear properly. I would really recommend these handy ear buds to anyone exposed to noise and music today. Such a great and simple product, with such an important function. So grateful for these. Buy now!

The dBuds are great. They do lose a bit of clarity in the - 30db option but that's kind of expected. Very highly recommended however.

The Earplugs are not bad themselves, although I agree with others saying that the edge bite sometimes so I used my acoustune tips I bought, the wide-bore one, and it all works well. The company could use the shape of common eartips on earphones as the shape fit more well than the provided eartips but the dbud is compatible to any eartips so there. When it comes to noise reduction, its just WOW! The open setting really does give protection but you can still have a normal conversation without any hassle whatsoever. The closed setting is perfect, made me sleep peacefully for 9 hours while there is construction in the hood 🙂 though it does hurt a little when your head is slightly on the side cause then again the edge will touch your ear and hurt a little. This earplugs can be more smaller. I never used the foamtips as they are big for me even the smallest one. The optional lanyard is great and useful when you need to have the earplugs always at reach. I find the lanyard useful when I attended a street party as I don't have the need to put them back in the carry rubber case which is also nice by the way. This earplugs stays in your ear like magic, I even played basketball with them and they didn't move a millimeter ha! Over-all, 5 stars, slight imperfections are compensated well enough. But hey, there's always room for improvement 🙂 thanks dBud! P. S Packaging is superb and well detailed.

I just received my dbud Kickstarter award this week. I've used it all day yesterday and today at work. I work in a busy area and office, so this helped me work more efficiently. I suffer from Meniere's Disease and this helps me eliminate the outside noise and hear a speaker in a meeting or lower loud sounds so it's tolerable for my hearing. I wish the switch was easier to move but other than that, it works as advertised.

Got mine on the 23rd February and must say i was very impressed by the packaging and the intial feel look of the ear plugs. First trial run at work was great, apart from everyone asking me if I'd got headphones in haha. I run them past our H/S advusor and he was more then happy with the level of noise reduction. I work in a noisy plastic injection moulding plant and find them excellent for reducing the noise, without causing an issue in communication between other staff members. Found them comfortable for the entire shift and had no issues with them at all, apart from me being clumsy when removing one the foam tips, i ripped it. But i find the silicone ones better for me so it's not an issue. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants to reduce noise but still be able to communicate.

Kind of disappointed I backed a glorified foam ear plug. Got mine today and they do nothing more than the standard foam earplugs you can find in larger packs for cheap. They’re not electronic, just a slider bar where it’s u clear which side is open and closed despite the packaging. The tips you choose to put on so it actually goes in your ear are foam or silicone. For the small size the foam ones were too big to fit in my ear and hard to come off, and literally were just the ear plugs you find at a pharmacy, the plastic part that you’re actually paying for doesn’t seem to do anything regardless of if it’s open or closed.

I have bought the dBud cos i have the tinnitus and some hearing loss due to the place where i live now (Milano, Italy), and some Urban sounds hurt my ears everyday. Today (the dBud arrived this morning) is the first day since the tinnitus started that i don't feeling any pain at my ears when i walk freely in the streets! This is a wonderful product, It feel good and work perfectly and from today onward they will be in my EDC Forever! Thanks!
