Cooper Todd
Surfer, Berala, Bali (from Avalon, NSW)
Hey, it’s Cooper Todd…. I’m a grom from Avalon on the northern beaches of Sydney who just turned 11 years old. I am a super keen surfer who tries to surf every day. Last year I competed in several grom comps and made regional and state titles in NSW. I am known to some as “Marine Boy” because when I am not surfing you will find me in the pool training as a competitive swimmer or competing in nippers board races with my local Avalon surf life saving club. I also play soccer and try to fit in some boxing and Jiu Jitsu when I can as my family are all into fitness and boxing. I play electric guitar in a band called “Guitar Grom’s” formed with some mates from AV and is my other passion. I miss my mates from Avalon but loving our new life and adventure in Bali. The surf is super cool here.
Due to the amount of time I spend in the water I constantly have ear infections and being being born with a hearing impairment, wearing normal ear plugs leave me without any hearing which is frustrating in the surf and swim training. Due to my water activities, ear infections meant I would sometimes be out of the water for a week or two meaning I would miss swim training and surfing. I am fully stoked that I now have a solution with SurfEars and proud to be an ambassador for such an innovative product. I can’t thank Surf Ears enough to have invented a solution to keep me in the water and hear what my mates are saying to me in the surf. So if you see me catch a bomb , do a nice carve or get barrelled please give me a hoot.
