Surfer, Dubai and Denmark

I am a 13-year-old Dane, living in Dubai. I started surfing when I was 6 years old, together with my twin brother.

Yes, you can actually surf in Dubai. It’s not the Pacific but I get by. Occasionally the East Cost is hit by a tropic storm from the deep waters of the Indian Ocean and then we get a week or 2 with really great waves. But admittedly it is frustrating that I cannot do what I love on a daily, weekly and sometimes a monthly basis. Luckily we are only 3 hours flight away from Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and then we also have a wave pool in the middle of the desert!

I compete in all local / regional competitions and was part of the Danish National Surf team competing in the ISA world junior surfing championship at Oceanside, California 2015 and will be competing in Portugal in 2016. I am really excited and proud about the role as an Ambassador for SurfEars.
